One of the neatest trucks we have been a part of is this light refueling and lube rig which has 118 gallon gasoline tank, 500 gallon diesel tank and a 120lb grease station mounted on a 19,500 GVWR Ford F550 chassis. We ordered this 4×4 chassis for a customer of ours and had Interstate Truck Bodies of Phoenix design and build the body to our customers needs and specs.

The entire structure is unitized as one unit based on a structural 8″ long sill and 16″ center 4″ structural cross members all coated in rust protection. The 500 gallon diesel tank is mounted directly to the long sills against the cab to take full advantage of weight distribution. The walk way platform is coated with no slip polyuria and gives access to the grease pot, 118 gallon aluminum gasoline tank and the 500 gallon diesel tank.

The gasoline tank is mounted street side and the cabinet for the gas hose reel is mounted (integral to the platform) curbside. The rear cabinet (also integral to the platform) features barn doors. The left side contains the 120lb grease reel, diesel hose reel with filters, meter and a nozzle holder. The right side holds the circuit breaker panel.

Under the 500 gallon diesel tank are underbody boxes for storage. All cabinets are coated with a highly durable coating and feature stainless steel heavy duty hinges and rotary handles. The design of the doors takes full advantage of automotive seals to keep moisture and dust out.

A few other things 4 LED flood lighting and the final touch which is very important in corrosive environments is an independent mounted rear bumper.

One of the highest quality bodies we have had the pleasure to deliver. This particular chassis is a 4×4 84″ca V10 gas chassis…..why gas? Upfront cost, operational cost and repair costs. After driving this vehicle to Holbrook from the valley it is not lacking what so ever in power.

Let us work with you and interstate to build on to your needs today. We have the chassis’ and the software to ensure the chassis will handle the design, weight distribution will meet your needs in a safe and reliable manner. Our software will even predict performance on grades.
